Mother Of Seven Gunned Down Outside Sushi Restaurant

A popular fitness influencer and a father of four were shot and killed in a restaurant parking lot in California. Police say the shooter was the woman’s estranged husband, who was then killed by an off-duty cop nearby.

Gloria Zamora was 40 years old and a mother of seven. She had over 150,000 followers on Instagram and recently spoke on her podcast about leaving her husband.

 

Her date, Hector Garduno, was a dad too. Between the two of them, they leave behind 11 kids.

Police say the shooter was Thomas Alberto Tamayo Lizarraga, Gloria’s second husband. Just days earlier, Gloria had talked about the split publicly.

A local officer told the news: “They were going through a divorce, that led to this. We don’t know how he knew where she was at, but apparently, she had been at the restaurant for approximately an hour prior to the shooting.”

 

Several off-duty cops were nearby when it happened, including a sheriff’s deputy who saw it while driving past. He quickly turned around, got out of his car, and stepped in.

The suspect was shot and killed by that deputy. His name hasn’t been released.

A GoFundMe has been set up for Gloria’s seven children, ages 8 through 24. Her daughter Jazlynne said her mom was “More than just a mother, Gloria was a beacon in her community, empowering and uplifting women by reminding them of their strength and worth.”
