Julian Brown, who is in his 20s, also posted a disturbing message on social media shortly before his disappearance. Though the circumstances around his disappearance is still unclear, many on social media believe he may have been targeted for his invention- ‘Plastoline’.

What was Julian Brown’s social media post?

In his last Instagram post, Julian Brown can be seen saying in a video that some “very, very, odd stuff” was going on that “I’m certainly under attack.” He added that could not “go into so much detail,” and urged his followers to have their “eyes open.” He added that he was still “working” and “building,” and nothing was going to stop that. Another post reads, “Has anyone else been following Julian Brown. I thought that he just wasn’t popping up on my timeline but HE’S BEEN MISSING FOR TWO WEEKS!” According to one Facebook post, Brown had shared some posts about how he was not going to live too long, and that someone was stalking him. Another post claimed that Brown had previously shared that “black helicopters where circling his house at night.” The post mentioned that Brown also said, “they have been following me. I know I don’t have long to live.”

Brown, a 776 Foundation Climate Fellow and founder of NatureJab, was previously featured in major platforms for his unique invention – a microwave pyrolysis system that turns plastic into gasoline. He previously launched a GoFundMe campaign with a $1 million goal to make his vision come true. The money was meant to cover a warehouse rental and the construction of a full-scale prototype. So far, the fundraiser has raised $18,208 of the $1M goal.

In a March 2025 interview with Bold Journey, Brown revealed that the biggest challenge in his mission to convert plastic into fuel has been securing adequate funding. “I’ve made a conscious decision to avoid the traditional venture capital route,” he explained. “This technology could have a profound impact on humanity—but only if it’s in the right hands.”

He continued, “Giving up significant ownership and equity early on, just for the illusion of an easier financial path, never felt right to me. Instead, I’m harnessing the power of the internet, democracy, and sheer perseverance to raise the funds I need. I actively apply for grants and seek new opportunities to expand my reach. Most recently, I launched JABAROMA, a brand offering all-natural products.”
