Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, actress and former wife of David Hasselhoff, has died at the age of 61.

According to TMZ, she was found dead at her Los Angeles home on March 5. Authorities believe it was suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Concerned family members, who hadn’t heard from her, went to check on her and made the tragic discovery.

In a statement to PEOPLE, a representative for David Hasselhoff said:
“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time, but kindly ask for privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging moment.”

She appeared in popular series such as BaywatchKnight RiderThe Young and the Restless, and Sirens. While her career never reached the same level of fame as her former husband’s, she remained a familiar face in Hollywood through TV appearances and red-carpet events.

Pamela married David Hasselhoff in 1989. The couple became a well-known Hollywood pair and had two daughters together: Taylor and Hayley Hasselhoff. Taylor pursued acting and modeling, while Hayley gained recognition as a plus-size model and reality TV personality. The couple divorced in 2006 after nearly 17 years of marriage.

Pamela is survived by her daughters Taylor, 34, and Hayley, 32. She often shared emotional posts about them on social media, including updates about her granddaughter. Taylor gave birth to her daughter, London, in August 2023, after marrying Madison Fiore earlier that year.
